Go Sicily Properties have participated in the La Dolce Vita exhibition, which is a four-day show on Italian lifestyle now in its sixth year and which took place recently at the Olympia exhibition hall at Earl’s Court, London.

During the exhibition, Go Sicily Properties proposed a number of farmhouses, countryhouses, townhouses and building plots in the beautiful countryside of the provinces of Ragusa and Syracuse in Sicily. Among these is the newly-launched project of Borgo Lucia in Noto, which consists of twenty-eight properties of between 10,000 and 16,000 square metres with excellent views of the countryside, the sea and the baroque town of Noto.

Mario Spiteri, Managing Director of Go Sicily Properties, commented that “Despite the credit crunch and the unfavourable Sterling exchange rate, we received an encouraging number of enquiries and we also managed to set up a number of appointments with prospective clients from the United Kingdom.”

He added that, apart from Borgo Lucia, the properties which registered the highest degree of interest from the British public included the gated complex of Valle della Foresta in the village of San Giacomo, with prices starting from €24,000 for a 6,000 square metres plot of land being sold with the guarantee of a permit for a 90 square metre three-bedroomed villa and enjoying 360 degree views of forests, mountains and countryside, as also the Masseria Santa Maria on the outskirts of the village of Giarratana, selling for €110,000, which consists of an important unconverted rural building of 120 square metres footprint complete with a 180 square metre courtyard with panoramic views of valleys and forests and including a 5,000 square metre olive grove with around fifty centuries-old olive trees.

The Go Sicily team at La Dolce Vita included Geometra Emilio Guastella and Ing. Salvatore Palma, from the architectural studio of Ing. Giovanni Palma of Ragusa, who assisted clients visiting the Go Sicily stand with a number of technical queries relating to construction of villa and farmhouses on land as also the conversion of unconverted properties.
